Greater Hope Downs is a major iron ore mining hub in Western Australia’s Pilbara region, operated as a joint venture between us and Hancock Prospecting.
The complex includes Hope Downs 1 situated around 100km north-west of Newman, Hope Downs 4 situated 50km north-west of Newman, and the upcoming Hope Downs 2 project.
Situated on the traditional lands of the Banjima and Nyiyaparli peoples, these mines are strategically located near Newman, leveraging the Hamersley Range which is home to around 80% of Australia’s identified iron ore reserves.
