Our Fénix facility began operations in 1997 as Argentina's first commercial lithium plant.

The plant uses selective adsorption-based direct lithium extraction (DLE) technology to concentrate lithium from brine before further processing.

Building on nearly 3 decades of operations, Fénix has undergone 2 major expansions to increase production capacity:

  • Fénix 1A was completed in 2024, increasing the operation's target production capacity to approximately 30,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) per year.
  • Fénix 1B achieved first production in the second quarter of 2026, ahead of plan. The expansion increasing the operation's total target production to approximately 40,000 tonnes of LCE per year.

Fénix 1B is currently ramping up production, with a focus on safe operations, consistent product quality and reliable supply to customers.
